Two-day intensive workshop on sketching/illustration


September 8 - 9
5:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Price for both days: 90 euros (370 ILS)
Price for one day: 50 euros (200 ILS)
Maximum number of participants: 14 people

Day One:
Preliminary location: Rothschild Street
Theme: Character Illustration
Main goal: We will focus on sketching people. We will learn to create a composite character from various passersby on the street.
We will work on multi-figure composition.

Day Two:
Preliminary location: Jaffa, Old City
Theme: The city vibe
Main goal: Learn to work from a spot with complex compositions containing large and small objects, foreground, middle ground, and background.
People and architecture. How to properly emphasize elements. Where to start.

List of materials participants will need:

︎ Sketchbook or sheets of paper, at least A5 size
︎ Gouache, watercolor, or acrylic paint, at least 4 colors
︎ Watercolor pencils or watercolor wax pastels (Neocolor2 recommended)
︎ Opaque markers
︎ Brushes

Hi there, my name is Kate. I am an award-winning illustrator/writer and mural artist, with international experience. My murals can be found in Germany, France and the Netherlands. In the heart of Berlin I painted a 10 storey building. I have painted for many magazines and children's books, and participated in various exhibitions. At the moment of my life I'm living in Paris, where I'm working on my own illustrated book.

The Washington Post, Culture Trip, GQ, Amnesty International, Urban Nation Museum Berlin, Beit Hatfutsot Museum Tel Aviv, Babbel, etc
In the last few years I have gone completely into analog drawing. I love experimenting with materials and techniques. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and I have a lot of teaching experience. I've been invited to give lectures and workshops at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, Israel, and the Bauhaus University in Weimar, Germany and many others.
