KATERINA VORONINA
Hi! I’m an illustrator and mural artist. I work using an analog method, which involves a mix of different materials and colors, depending on the project (gouache, wax crayons, ink, etc). I’ve been in this profession for over 10 years, working as a freelance artist in the international market.
Since 2023 I’ve been living in Paris.
Originally from Moscow, where I was born, raised, and earned my artistic degrees (6 years at the Academy of Art and a course in illustration at the British Higher School of Design - BHSAD), I moved to Tel Aviv in 2016 and stayed there for the next two years. During my first five months in Israel, I worked at the Israeli animation studio Poink as a background artist. Later, the cartoon we worked on, “Camilla,” was shortlisted for the Cannes Film Festival in 2018. I relocated to Berlin in 2018, Where I began my career as a mural artist. I have been lucky enough to paint many different offices, cafes and building facades in Berlin and all over Europe. I am best known for my mural on the façade of a 10-story building, Brave Wall, dedicated to women’s rights worldwide.
In 2019 my friend Susannah Garden and I have launched the Sunday Sketching Berlin Project, in which we practice ourselves steadily twice a month as illustration teachers in a variety of locations in Berlin

I work on picture books, editorial illustrations, murals, and silkscreen prints. I also paint on vases, hold drawing workshops, and am an avid sketcher.
🌿 Moving to other countries is an amazing experience of learning about the world and discovering yourself in it.
In my life as an expat, unusual stories happen at almost every turn.
This challenge feeds me with inspiration and a lust for life 🌿
