Hello friends!
It’s been a while since I held a sketching workshop, so I’ve decided it’s time to catch up.
What will happen during the course?
We’ll start with the basics: how to relax and stop being afraid of drawing in public places.
There will be a lot of different tasks of varying difficulty, like working with characters, compositions, and mixing different techniques and materials.
We’ll also focus on learning how to feel time and control the speed of your drawing. Here’s the breakdown by days:
💚 Day 1:
Drawing People. Working with characters. How to use your own sketches in illustrations and other works.
Discussion about art materials and how they can compliment each other.
💚 Day 2:
Sketching in an urban environment. Two main different principles of composition (my personal approach). Working with negative space.
💚 Day 3:
Drawing in a bar/restaurant.
How to play with proportions and break perspective. Where to start and how to not get lost while drawing lots of people. Detailed instruction.
💚 And probably the most intriguing question: why 3+1 ?
The three-day sketching marathon will be in English, but since I live in Paris and am actively learning French, I’m offering the last day as a gift (+1) to be held entirely in French.
It will be challenging for both me and you! My level is currently around B1. But I’ll try to prepare well in advance! The theme will be Stencils. More details later :) /
💚 Et la grande question : pourquoi 3+1 ?
Le marathon de dessin de trois jours se déroulera en anglais, mais comme je vis à Paris et que j’apprends activement le français, je propose que le dernier jour (+1) soit entièrement en français.
Ce sera un défi pour nous deux ! Mon niveau est actuellement autour du B1. Mais je vais essayer de bien me préparer à l'avance ! Le thème sera le pochoir. Plus de détails à venir :)
